TE MAURI

  • The Mauri has a significant presence here in Te Whenua Moemoeā. It represents every peka and our links to our Haukaainga and Iwi Taketake.

  • It is envisaged that 'Te Ira Here' will be present at each Hui ā-Tau or Wānanga to signify its meaning and purpose.

  • It is expected that each peka understands the importance and significance of what a Mauri is and its history.

  • 'Te Ira Here' has a deep connection with Te Whenua Moemoeā.
